A dream project! The brief was to create a luxury candle from scratch, including the brand identity, and its package design, in addition to making the product itself.

I created a simplistic and elegant candle, with inspiration from my home country Norway. The brand name Stella Borealis is inspired by the Polar star (Stella Polaris) and the Northern lights (Aurora Borealis). The handmade box has textured white paper to mimic snow.

I created a logo for the brand that was to resemble “star-light” and I used a part of the logo as a pattern for inside the box as well as laser engraving it into the glass vessel. I sourced and melted white beeswax into the glass. Inside the packaging, the box is lased with a soft fabric to shield and protect the glass from when it’s shipped and transported.
